Mr. Thomann brings to ICAP a long track record of successful monetization of brands and trademarks, as well as distressed business enterprises and their assets. Mr. Thomann has established himself as one of the leading transactional IP experts and is also the Chief Executive Officer of River West Brands, a company that acquires, redevelops, and monetizes brands.
Mr. Thomann has over 15 years of experience valuing, structuring, and consummating complex financial transactions, involving trademarks/brands and other IP assets, and looks forward to continuing his work while consulting with ICAP.
At River West Brands, Mr. Thomann has overseen the brand transaction and monetization process which included analysis of thousands of brands, managing the acquisition of many of them with innovative strategies and structures; and stewarded over a dozen brands from dormancy to commercialization. Additionally, he developed and managed relationships with River West's key strategic partners, including many Fortune 50 brand owners and major retailers; led the process that resulted in a strategic investment from Omnicom Group (NYSE: OMC), a $14B holding company comprised of marketing firms; and oversaw the formation and funding of multiple new brand ventures.
