FULLERTON, Calif., Feb. 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- After putting over 3,000 laptops, 1,500 iPods, 2,000 iPads, 500 digital cameras, and 100 digital microscopes into Fullerton classrooms, parents, teachers and community will be pampered in support of the Fullerton Technology Foundation and the Fullerton Education Foundation 'Cut-a-thon' at Salon Lujon & Day Spa, 216 North Harbor Blvd in Fullerton, April 6, 2014, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
All proceeds of the 'Cut-a-thon' will be generously donated by the owner of Salon Lujon, Dave Arnold and his staff who are offering the luxurious Salon Lujon cut and style, conditioning treatment with style, and mini-facial for a $25 donation each, and a simple manicure for a $15 donation. In 2013, $4,000 was raised at the 'Cut-a-thon.'
Having raised over $1 million since inception, combined, the foundations fund teacher grants for educational success in the classrooms, increase use of technology and increase financial stability in the Fullerton School District. The focus on the two foundations is evolving to include more teacher grants, robotics, 3D printing and STEM education for the 14,000 Fullerton School District students.
