CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwired - June 26, 2014) - Strauss Troy Attorney Marty Butler received Northern Kentucky University's (NKU) prestigious Lincoln Award for public service at an event last night in the NKU Student Union Ballroom.

Butler has served on the Northern Kentucky Board of Regents for 11 years, two of those as chair. Additionally, he served as chair of the NKU Presidential Search Committee. He has also served as chair of the Northern Kentucky Fine Arts Fund Campaign, president of Northern Kentucky Habitat for Humanity, and as board member of the Parish Kitchen, Senior Citizens of Northern Kentucky and Southbank Fund. These are only a few of the organizations that he has helped over the years with his leadership and generous support.

First bestowed in 1992, the Lincoln Award is presented to residents, or former residents, of Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana who demonstrate the qualities of exceptional citizenship, service and achievement in their professions and communities. Butler was honored alongside fellow recipients Charles H. Brown, Rosemary K. Schlachter and Mark S. Schlachter.
