DETAILS:
As employers work to streamline operations and ensure compliance, changing legislation continues to influence the employment landscape and complicate processes for HR and business leaders. To help employers navigate these evolving requirements and maximize their workforce planning and resources, Equifax Workforce Solutions will share its industry-leading insight and expertise during two educational and engaging webcasts:
"SUTA Dumping in Retrospect: Analyzing the True Impact for Employers"
Since its inception 10 years ago, the SUTA Dumping Prevention Act of 2004 has forever altered the unemployment insurance landscape for employers. Under the Act, the state agencies targeted certain types of transactions that were perceived abuses by employers of the joint federal-state unemployment. During this session, the experts from Equifax Workforce Solutions will review the structure of such transactions as well as the focus the Act puts on organizations under common ownership, management or control. In addition, this session will review the Act's compliance requirements and explore the savings opportunities that remain available to employers during merger and acquisition transactions. Attendees will learn more about additional state unemployment tax management savings opportunities and take away actionable insights on comprehensive unemployment cost management strategies.
"UI Integrity Update: Effective Compliance, Effective Reporting"
With the continued government focus on UI Integrity, unemployment claims response is no longer an issue of whether or not to protest a claim, but a matter of compliance that involves increasing financial penalties. During this insightful webinar, Lori Roberts, senior manager of Government Relations; Dave Meinert, director of Tax Management Consulting; Jennifer Redden, director of Claim Services; and Mike Mohr, senior vice president of Sales Operations for Equifax Workforce Solutions will share updates on the evolving UI system and provide guidance on state interpretations of the federal mandate. In addition, the panel will explore employer strategies for ensuring UI compliance, including the use of enhanced performance reporting to effectively identify areas of non-compliance. Attendees of this webinar will also receive a complimentary white paper on UI integrity, including a current legislative matrix that features state-specific interpretations of a "pattern of failure," non-compliance penalties and overpayment rates.
Attendees: HR, payroll and tax professionals, and business leaders interested in learning about the latest unemployment insurance legislative updates and compliance requirements are encouraged to attend these educational sessions.
