Lark Productions Signs First-Look Deal with Picture Arcade

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA and LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwired - Sept. 25, 2014) - Lark Productions announced today a first-look deal with newly formed North American production company Picture Arcade, led by former MTV and Comedy Network executive Brent Haynes. The deal reunites Haynes with Louise Clark, President and Executive Producer of Vancouver-based Lark Productions. The former CTV production executives co-developed and oversaw Canada's most-watched comedy series of all time, Corner Gas.

Picture Arcade will develop scripted comedies and dramas as well as unscripted series for Lark to air in North America and internationally. The agreement between the two companies marks Lark's objective to work with top talent in both Canada and the U.S.

Haynes recently formed Picture Arcade after spending 19 years in broadcasting in both Canada and the U.S. Most recently, he spent five years in New York City as Senior Vice President of Comedy and Animation at MTV, where he managed a full development slate and oversaw production for close to 20 series. Previously, Haynes spent 11 years with The Comedy Network in Canada, where he helped launch the channel. He ultimately became Vice President of Programming at TCN in charge of the development, acquisitions, and scheduling teams.
