Sterling Acquires BlueSpace Federal

Acquisition of Leading Cross Domain Solutions Provider Enables Company to Expand Cyber Security Offerings

DAKOTA DUNES, S.D., Nov. 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STERLING COMPUTERS CORPORATION (Sterling), a leading provider of I.T. products and services, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of BlueSpace Federal, a market leader in cyber security solutions. The combination of BlueSpace's intellectual property in the cross-domain (XD) market with Sterling's past performance with delivering solutions in the federal government, positions the company as a leader in the cross domain security industry, enabling it to offer true end-to-end I.T. solutions for customers and partners.

Sterling has made significant strategic investments over the past two years to expand its enterprise technology and services capabilities. BlueSpace's unique XD Framework (XDF) and SmartXD technology enable multiple applications, tagged data and other data sources on different domains to be intelligently and rapidly integrated into powerful cross domain applications. Additionally, the solutions have the quickest implementation time, lowest total cost of ownership and provide the most robust capabilities available on the market. BlueSpace's technologies are currently utilized in defense, intelligence, law enforcement and commercial markets around the world.

The BlueSpace portfolio includes CrossWatch (formerly Sentinel), the first off-the-shelf cross domain solution for centralized, global systems and network monitoring; Unity, an application integrated with Microsoft Exchange that provides a unified inbox and calendar across multiple security domains; and Discover, an information discovery, access and retrieval application that provides a unified search interface across multiple content sources and security domains. This portfolio compliments Sterling's engineering expertise in designing, implementing and managing customized I.T. architecture that supports cross domain needs.

"Providing security solutions for mission critical networks is a top priority at Sterling. Our two organizations share many core beliefs and a passion for meeting the security needs of our customers," said Brad Moore, President of Sterling. "With this acquisition, Sterling will be able to build on BlueSpace's industry-leading technology and experience in cyber security to deliver easier and more efficient solutions to our customers. Our roadmap for cross domain enabling critical applications will provide our customers with unmatched, robust, and effective solutions."

As part of the transaction, key staff members of BlueSpace have transitioned to Sterling, assuring continuity of service and support.
