Lauren brings a wealth of experience in criminal investigations, litigation and healthcare fraud and abuse to the firm's practice.
Lauren was previously an Executive District Attorney and served as Chief of the Healthcare Fraud Unit, Chief of Investigations, Chief of Public Assistance Crimes Unit, and Chief of Crimes against Children Unit in the Kings County District Attorney's Office. During her twenty-five year tenure in that Office, Lauren was responsible for recovering over $10 million on fraudulent claims and assessing over 2000 allegations of fraud totaling over $18 million in alleged fraudulent claims.
Lauren founded and directed a Healthcare Fraud Division where, as Chief of the Division, she led a team of investigators, prosecutors, and forensic accountants in the investigations and prosecutions of medical providers for Medicaid and Medicare fraud. Lauren was also head of the Public Assistance Crimes Unit, prosecuting perpetrators of all types of government fraud. Lauren's unit was known for pursuit of "Millionaires on Medicaid."

Lauren earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, and her B.A. from George Washington University. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Cardozo School of Law Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.
