Experienced Refractive Coordinator Joins Laser Vision Correction Center

ELKTON, Md., Dec. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lavenburg Medical Group, a DelMar Surgical and Cosmetic Treatment Center, recently announced Jorgann Plale has joined their laser vision correction center and is leading a new wave of upgrades to treatment processes. Jorgann has decades of experience in the eye industry and has been a certified VISX S4 Excimer Laser system operator and procedure assistant since 2001.

Ophthalmologist Dr. Douglas J. Lavenburg announced Jorgann Plale, an experienced refractive coordinator, joined Lavenburg Medical Group in May 2014 and since then has become an essential component of LASIK and vision correction treatments. Jorgann assists in LASIK vision correction and works with prospective patients to help them understand treatment options, including refractive surgeries, cosmetic procedures and medical procedures relating to the eye and surrounding areas. She works closely with each patient to educate them about the benefits of laser vision correction and help them determine if surgery is right for them.

"Laser surgery is truly a life-changing procedure," said Jorgann. "However, not every patient is a good candidate for laser surgery. A comprehensive diagnostic screening and thorough evaluation is the best way to determine whether laser surgery is a good treatment option for an individual's vision needs. I enjoy working with patients to discuss their options and determine which option is the best for them."

Jorgann has made an extremely successful career out of her LASIK expertise and experience in vision correction. As a certified VISX S4 Excimer Laser system operator and procedure assistant, Jorgann has significant experience working with one of the top Excimer lasers for LASIK surgery.

"I love helping patients see the world in a whole new way," said Jorgann. "Doing so is incredibly rewarding. I am passionate about providing the best possible patient care utilizing the latest technological advancements. LASIK is a state-of-the-art procedure that takes minimal time; in fact, most patients go back to work the next day."

Jorgann emphasized the importance of choosing a specialized LASIK center for vision correction surgery.

"With LASIK surgery, experience matters," said Jorgann. "When done correctly, it is safe and effective. Safety, the doctor's experience, and the level of patient satisfaction should be the key deciding factors when it comes to selecting a center. That's why I'm excited to be part of the team at Lavenburg Medical Group. Their commitment to excellence is unparalleled."
