SPOKANE, Wash., Dec. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RLHC (Red Lion Hotels Corporation) (NYSE:RLH) announced today the company will open its first location in Ohio following the signing this week of a franchise agreement for a Red Lion Hotel in Cincinnati.

"We want a brand that is well known, has differentiating characteristics, and proven ability to help us capture fair market share in a competitive marketplace," said Kumar Vemulapalli of Durga, LLC., regional developer and owner of the hotel. "In our view, Red Lion is the obvious choice."

"Cincinnati is a thriving city and one of the top 30 U.S. urban markets," said RLHC Chief Franchise Officer Brian Quinn. "This hotel has it all with convention meeting space and multiple meeting and sports facilities nearby. It will resonate well with our group business and teams. The hotel will be a great addition to our network, having just opened two new locations in the greater Seattle area and one at the Detroit Airport."
