CHICAGO, March 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- What are the potential legal implications of climate change? What should lawyers know about the science? Those questions and more will be addressed in "Climate Change: The Science for Lawyers," a panel featuring climate and legal experts, including a Nobel Peace Prize-winning scientist, held April 1, at The John Marshall Law School.
An understanding of geology has helped attorneys understand the legal risks of developing in areas prone to sinkholes. As the impacts of climate change are more recognizable and raise legal issues for clients, attorneys need to be familiar with climate change science. Speakers at John Marshall's April 1 event include:
- Donald J. Wuebbles, PhD – Atmospheric Science Professor at University of Illinois and Nobel Peace Prize recipient for his work on climate change
