Digital Startup Develops Mobile App That Goes Viral


SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In a study done by Statista, the worldwide mobile app downloads in 2009 amounted to approximately 2.52 billion and are expected to reach 268.69 billion in 2017. In 2010, earnings of mobile apps providers amounted to 6.8 billion U.S. dollars. In March of 2015, gaming apps were the most popular category ranking in 21.45% share of downloads. The second most popular category is Business with just 10.1% of downloads.

With it's debut on April 6, 2015, the game became and overnight hit with 100,000 downloads in less than 48 hours, and ranking #1 on app stores on April 8th. The game is currently #1 in the Adventure Games category, #14 in the overall Games category, and #50 in Top Apps.
