US Federal Contractor Registration: USDA Releases Bird Netting Solicitation on FedBizOpps (FBO) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

US Federal Contractor Registration is reporting the release of the Bird Netting Solicitation in Minnesota posted to FedBizOpps (FBO) on June 24, 2015. Bird Netting Solicitation currently has a response date set for July 14, 2015. Every business interested in bidding on the Bird Netting Solicitation must be properly registered in the SAM Registration, as well as have the North American Industry Classification System codes 561710 -- Exterminating and Pest Control Services, and 561 -- Administrative and Support Services filed in their SAM account/vendor profile.

Scope of Work

The requirement includes all planning, cleanup, application of OvoControl P, application of Avicide Treatment (Avitrol), Bird Stealth Netting installation execution, implementation, and project management. The contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all nests, nesting material, eggs, and adult birds; including areas on-site where stealth-netting is not being installed; Spot Clean-up/Sanitize all droppings, using the means deemed necessary by contractor’s biologist(s).

Bird Stealth Netting Installation -- netting, a permanent solution with low visibility for all bird types present.

Netting shall be ¾” Mesh Heavy Duty Stealth-Net.

All areas that need access post install shall be fitted with a zipper to allow for later maintenance access.

Contractor shall provide manufacturers’ warranty and installation warranty.

All areas shall be guaranteed to be bird free post installation.

Application of a deodorizer/disinfectant, Ectoparasite treatment to all areas where birds roosting occurs. Disposal of all materials used in removal and cleanup

4. Application of OvoControl P, a reproductive contraceptive to control local population; to retard reproduction and aid in long-term population control on-site.

5. Application of Avicide Treatment (Avitrol) to control pigeon and starling/sparrow populations;

Pre-baiting and baiting with Avitrol may be used as necessary over several months to reduce overall population of pigeons in local area and increase effectiveness of other methods.

6. Cleanup

All nests, nesting material, eggs, and adult birds shall be removed, including areas on-site where stealth-netting is not being installed

Spot Clean-up/Sanitize droppings using the means deemed necessary by our biologist(s)

Application of a deodorizer/disinfectant

Ectoparasite treatment to all areas where birds roosting occurs

Contractor shall properly dispose of all materials used in removal and cleanup.
