ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - October 19, 2015) - Aegex Technologies, LLC's intrinsically safe tablets are being used for attendee registration at the Innovations in the Energy Conference Network's Production Enhancement Conference in Houston, Texas, Oct. 20-21, 2015.
Aegex is a registration sponsor for the show, which focuses on ways for oil and gas companies to maximize return on investment and manage assets using real-time data and automation. Aegex has provided its industrial tablets, which are intrinsically safe, or incapable of producing a spark sufficient to ignite an explosion, to be used for attendee check-in at the event.
Purpose-built for hazardous location environments such as oil and gas operations, the 10.1-inch Aegex tablets carry no risk of igniting a spark and can be deployed in multiple zones of hazardous industrial locations, where high concentrations of flammable gases, vapors or dusts are present.
The Windows-based tablets will be certified intrinsically safe for ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 hazardous locations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. They will also be certified UL C1D1 and ISA C1D2 for intrinsic safety in North America.
Aegex tablets feature the Windows 10 operating system, making them the first of their kind to also be universally certified for use in the world's most explosive environments. The devices can be customized with industry-specific applications and accessories to tailor them for particular roles within organizations in the oil and gas, petrochemical, public safety, utilities and other markets where explosive atmospheres exist.
