iRef Inc., through its website and also via mobile applications, will connect sports leagues with referees using its proprietary matching technology -- much as Uber and Lyft connect those who need transportation with drivers who can provide it. The iRef service, set to launch later this year, will be free to use for leagues, tournaments, referees and assignors, and will enable convenient payment options for referees.
Sigmon made iRef's TiEcon presentation to hundreds of global investors in Santa Clara, Calif. TiEcon is the world's largest conference for entrepreneurs with more than 5,000 attendees from across the world, including top tech companies, leading venture capital firms and global service providers.
