Federal Bureau of Prisons Seeks Comprehensive Medical Services Provider at Lexington Federal Detention Center

Contractor to Provide Inpatient and Outpatient Services


Lexington, Kentucky, May 26, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office located in Grand Prairie, Texas, released on Friday, May 26 a combined synopsis/solicitation in which it outlined plans to make a single award to a contractor who can provide comprehensive medical services for the Federal Detention Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky.

The contractor who receives the contract award must provide inpatient/outpatient physician and facility services, and outpatient institution services.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons anticipated awarding a one-year contract, with four 12-month option years for renewal.The estimated quantities for the Base Year and all Option Years are as follows: Inpatient Days: 2,200 estimated days, Outpatient Visits: 3,500 estimated visits.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, in this combined synopsis/solicitation, invited faith-based and community-based organizations to submit offers/bids for contracts for which they are eligible.

Responses are due by 2 p.m. CST on July 13, 2017, and interested contractors can submit responses by e-mail to Contracting Officer Taryn Jones at tsjones@bop.gov and to Contracting Officer Teresa D. Kenon at tkennon@bop.gov.

The contractor who receives this contract also must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications.
