AMI celebrates Aboriginal Day 2017


Toronto, June 06, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) announced today that both its AMI-audio and AMI-tv channels will participate in this year’s Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) Aboriginal Day Live celebration.

AMI-audio will be on the ground broadcasting live from The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba from 3 to 7 p.m. ET joining in festivities happening all day long. Listen for interviews with event organizers, community members, performers and artists. Hear dynamic performances and learn more about the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

2017 marks the fourth year that AMI-tv has partnered with APTN to celebrate Aboriginal Day Live. This year marks the largest celebration of National Aboriginal Day in Canada’s history, as eight cities across the country host performances that will be broadcast live. Tune in for seven hours of live described programming from coast to coast from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET.
