VA Seeks SDVOSB to Maintain Headstones at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery

San Antonio, Texas, July 18, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, released on Tuesday, July 18 a solicitation in which it outlined plans to contract with a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that can provide it with headstone maintenance services at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

The SDVOSB that receives the contract must provide all necessary and/or incidental labor, supervision, quality control, transportation, parts, materials, equipment, and supplies to remove, raise, realign, reset, and clean designated flat markers, to renovate turf in designated burial sections, and to provide additional earthwork in certain sections of the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

The relevant NAICS Code is 561730 (Landscaping Services).

According to the notice, the contract will be for a one-year period, beginning from date of award, and the agency will base its decision on the contractor who provides it with the lowest price technically acceptable for the services.

According to the notice, responses are due by no later than July 24.

The contractor who receives this contract must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have as part of the Registration all current Representations and Certifications.
