USDA to Replace Floor Tiles at Parlier ARS

Seeks Small Business Contractor to Perform Work


Parlier, California, Aug. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), in Parlier, California released on Friday, August 11 a presolicitation notice in which it announced plans to seek a small business contractor to replace floor tiles.

The USDA, in this presolicitation notice, added that the contractor who receives the contract must furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision necessary to remove and replace the tiles, and that the contractor will have 30 calendar days after reviewing the Notice to Proceed to actually complete the project.

Prior to commencing work, the contractor who receives the contract must provide proof that an OSHA-certified "competent person" with 30-hour OSHA certification will maintain a presence at the work site when the general or subcontractors are present. All employees of general contractor or subcontractors on site also must have the 10-hour OSHA-certified Construction Safety course, according to the USDA’s presolicitation notice.

The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238330, Flooring Contractors, with a size standard of $15 million. The USDA anticipates the construction project value at between $25,000 and $100,000, and outlined plans to to award a firm fixed-price contract in September 2017.
