PBMI Launches Updated Online Education Courses on Pharmacy Management


PLANO, Texas, Sept. 07, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute (PBMI) launched today its updated online education courses that focus on the essentials of pharmacy benefit management. The courses include introductory-level and advanced-level classes and were developed to help healthcare stakeholders learn about the ever-evolving pharmacy benefit landscape.

Human resource professionals, pharmacy management professionals, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, as well as anyone interested in learning about the pharmacy benefit management industry can register for courses. At the end of each class, registrants take a knowledge assessment, and upon passing, receive a certificate of completion.  Continuing education (CE) credit is available for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

The following outlines the classes available:
Introductory Level

  • PBM 101: Introduction to Pharmacy Benefit Management
  • PBM 102: Introduction to Specialty Pharmacy Benefit Management

Advanced Level

  • PBM 201: Plan Design for the Pharmacy Benefit
  • PBM 202: Utilization Management Tools for the Pharmacy Benefit
  • PBM 203: Specialty Medical Management
  • PBM 204: Contract Pricing for Pharmacy Benefit Management Services

PBMI is offering a Back to School Savings Event until October 31st (100-level classes $99 each and 200-level classes $159 each). Learn more and register for classes.
