Yamaha In-House Counsel and Butler Snow Attorneys Selected for the Yancey Memorial Award by the International Association of Defense Counsel


RIDGELAND, Miss., Sept. 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Butler Snow is pleased to announce that several of its attorneys, along with Yamaha’s in-house counsel, have been selected for the Yancey Memorial Award by the International Association of Defense Counsel. The award is given to acknowledge excellence in academic writing.

The winning article, The Use of Computer-Generated Animations and Simulations at Trial, was written by Victoria Webster, senior counsel of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., and Butler Snow attorney Fred E. (Trey) Bourn III with assistance from Butler Snow attorneys Carol T. Montgomery and Caroline D. Walker.

She received her Juris Doctor, from Southwestern University School of Law. Webster is a member of both the California and Georgia Bar Associations.

Bourn serves as assistant practice group leader for the product liability, toxic tort and environmental group at Butler Snow. His practice is focused on representing clients in the areas of recreational vehicles, watercraft, automobiles and other machinery-related product liability cases. He also focuses his practice on drug and medical device litigation.  Bourn is AV-Rated and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for commercial litigation and by Mid-South Super Lawyers® for personal injury defense: products.  Bourn earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and his master’s degree from Mississippi State University. Bourn earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Mississippi Law Journal.
