eWellness Accelerates Strategic Sales & Marketing to Federal Government Agencies

Culver City, CA, April 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

eWellness Healthcare Corporation – (OTCQB: EWLL) – a provider of the state of the art PHZIO platform for the physical therapy (PT) and telehealth markets, announced the advancement of its sales and marketing efforts to various federal government agencies, EWLL has now registered as a qualified US Federal Contractor under the US Federal Contractor Registration Program (USFCR).

EWLL’s initial focus is to market its PHZIO treatment platform for physical therapy and corporate wellness to the Veterans Administration (VA). According to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), they spend approximately $61 billion per year on overall patient care and is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,240 healthcare facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,061 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.

According to the VA’s Office of Rehabilitation Services, in FY2016, physical therapists treated over 720,668 unique patients within the VA, accounting for approximately 3.2 million total encounters. The VA is one of the single largest employers of physical therapists, employing more than 2,224 PT’s and an additional 503 PTA’s. Based upon the number of encounters and an average national reimbursement rate of $100.00 per patient encounter, suggests that the VA is spending approximately $320 million per year on PT services.

“We are truly excited to introduce our PHZIO treatment platform that could offer up to a 50% savings ($160 million annually) on physical therapy costs to the VA. We also plan to introduce PHZIO to other government departments including the Department of Defense (DoD). We anticipate participating in existing PT services Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), along with a direct dialog for the provisioning of customized service plans,” said Darwin Fogt, CEO of EWLL.
