DCCA Awarded $44.7 Million Contract by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Company to Support Development of the Medicaid and CHIP Financial System

ELLICOTT CITY, Md., Sept. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Data Computer Corporation of America (DCCA), a veteran-owned information technology and engineering services company, today announced that it was awarded a professional services contract to develop a user-centric, modern financial system for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The $44.7 million single-award contract has a four-year period of performance and is for the development of the Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program Financial (MACFin) system. MACFin is a new financial system that will consolidate five different smaller systems onto one technology platform.

DCCA will use a tailored hybrid-agile methodology that leverages SAFe concepts, such as Agile Release Trains, to deliver real values through phased improvements to business process and technology. Throughout this contract, DCCA will be able to reduce the number of manual processes by offering states multiple pathways for submitting data, along with making improvements to the overall user interface. DCCA will also develop an architecture that uses an advanced technology stack and a centralized data management architecture to support growth, scalability and change management.

“DCCA continues to provide our federal government customers with innovative solutions that improve overall program outcomes. As a company, we are now supporting two of four programs that CMS has established for the modernization of CHIP-related systems. We support the missions of all our federal customers and look forward to undertaking this special project,” said David Bower, DCCA’s President & COO.
