Tech CU Wins Golden Bridge Award for Card Manager; Receives Honorable Mentions for Desjardins Adult Financial Education and Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Awards


CUNA Awards Celebrate Tech CU’s Efforts to Teach Financial Education and Contribute to the Community

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech CU (Technology Credit Union) today announced that it has won a Golden Bridge Award for its Card Manager product and received honorable mentions from the CUNA Desjardins Adult Financial Education award for its adult financial education initiatives and the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service award for its charity work in the Bay Area community.

An awards program that encompasses the best in organizational performance, innovations, products/services, and customer satisfaction programs, the Golden Bridge Awards has named Tech CU a Silver winner for its Card Manager product, which provides Tech CU debit and credit cards holders with card controls, (i.e. deactivate card remotely if lost or stolen; control when and where card can be used), including specific merchant and transaction types.

A prestigious CUNA honor, the Desjardins award recognizes Tech CU for its work aimed at educating both members and nonmembers in financial literacy.  

The award honored Tech CU’s: 

  • Free seminars - topics ranging from estate planning to tips for investing.
  • Global Members Program - designed to assist individuals new to the country establish credit.
  • Family Banking product - helps parents teach their kids about money and enforce accountability.

The CUNA Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community award honored Tech CU for its work with the Family Giving Tree, which included collecting backpacks and school supplies for low income students. In 2017, Tech CU was able provide more than 80 backpacks, plus school supplies totaling more than $3,500.
