Media Advisory: Equipping a new generation of researchers to make discoveries and innovate


LONDON, Ontario, March 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canada Foundation for Innovation

The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, will be at Western University to announce funding for research infrastructure and equipment at universities and research hospitals across Canada.

The Minister will be joined by the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s President & CEO, Roseann O’Reilly Runte, The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, Kate Young, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Science and Sport and to the Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Accessibility, and Peter Fragiskatos, Member of Parliament for London North Centre.

Following the announcement, media will have access to Minister Duncan as she joins scientists and students who will showcase their ground-breaking projects and research.

Media are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early.
