The Hire Heroes USA Report: Inequality after Service

Female Veterans and Military Spouses challenged in their pursuit of economic security.

Alpharetta, GA, Dec. 03, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The struggle of military members and their spouses is a call to action: the work of identifying and understanding their challenges necessitates a better response from communities nationwide to better serve and support the needs of America's diverse military population.

Employment assistance is the number one request from military members transitioning to civilian life. Each year, more than 200,000 military members leave the armed forces and over 80% will not have a job lined up. As we envision a better future, we are proud to be at the forefront of the veteran and military spouse employment discussion. We aim to spark a broader dialogue within the national effort to empower veterans and military spouses to find success in the civilian workforce.
