COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, March 9, 1999 (PRIMEZONE) -- Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (NYSE:CDE) announced the appointment of Geoffrey A. Burns as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Burns will join Coeur from Prime Resources Group, Inc. and Homestake Canada, Inc. where he was Chief Financial Officer and Controller. Mr. Burns brings with him 20 years of financial and mining experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from McMasters University in Hamilton, Ontario, and a Masters of Business Administration from York University in Toronto, Ontario, where he majored in corporate finance and financial accounting.
