NAPERVILLE, Ill., Sept. 19, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- John P. Calamos, President and Chief Investment Officer of CALAMOS(r) ASSET MANAGEMENT, INC., has announced the firm's additions of Mark W. Johnson as Vice President-Senior Analyst and Jon Vacko as Credit Analyst.
Mr. Johnson is engaged in investment analysis and equity research. He formerly was with Tucker Anthony, Cleary Gull and other investment firms. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he holds a B.A. degree from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Vacko performs credit analyses of companies in various industries supporting the CALAMOS investment process. He previously was a member of the Financial Institutional Group at Duff & Phelps, and he has also been an Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. A Level 3 CFA candidate, he has a BBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
