The Solar Sisters(tm) are a cartoon character group of twelve girls who each embody one of the 12 signs of the zodiac. Each character's favorite color, gemstone, flower and personality are all based upon the characteristics of each sign of the zodiac. Each girl personifies her sign. Giant Star manufactures high-quality plush dolls and stationery marketed by an existing network of sales teams that distribute its products to independent gift and specialty stores throughout the United States numbering about 25,000 accounts. Giant Star will produce plush, bean bag dolls, notepads, journals, bags, desk sets, and key rings. Giant Star guarantees Fineline $2.5 million for the categories given to Giant Star over the three-year term of the contract.
This is the first domestic license negotiated by Matchmaker Properties on behalf of Fineline for Solar Sisters(tm). Alan D. Williamson Jr., director of licensing for Matchmaker said: "This agreement is a great asset to both Fineline and Giant Star.
