HAMBURG, Germany, Oct. 18, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gauss Interprise AG (Neuer Market, Frankfurt Germany:GSO) (WKN 507 460) reorganizes itself: Following the merger with Magellan Software Inc. in April 2000, the restructuring of the company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is now complete. The content and portal management specialist controls its new branches and subsidiaries in the EMEA zone from its headquarter in Hamburg with the focus of its activities now firmly on the rapid expansion of support, marketing and services for its VIP 5e Internet platform. The new EMEA structure illustrates how Gauss Interprise positions itself in the international market today and will continue to position itself in the future. As the clear technological leader in the field of Content and Portal Management Systems, the company is already well established in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France. Gauss Interprise's sales and strategic alliances play an extremely important role here as 90 percent of future sales will be realized via channel partners and partner companies.

Gauss Interprise has already established a firm foothold in Great Britain and Ireland, Europe's second largest IT market, and in the Benelux countries. Subsidiaries are in the process of being set up in Scandinavia and Spain. Poland, Hungary, Israel, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey are also important target markets in which the company plans to establish its presence by 2003 at the latest.
