Spector, Roseman & Kodroff, P.C. Files Class Action Suit Against Quintus Corporation

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 5, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- The law firm of Spector, Roseman & Kodroff, P.C. announces that a class action lawsuit has been commenced in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of all purchasers of Quintus Corporation ("Quintus" or the "Company") (Nasdaq:QNTSE) common stock during the period between July 20, 2000 and November 14, 2000, inclusive (the "Class Period").

The action seeks damages for violations of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 10b-5 promulgated thereunder. The complaint charges Quintus, and certain of its officers, with violating the federal securities laws by artificially inflating Quintus' stock price by the use of improper accounting practices. The company has delayed filing its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2000 pending completion of an investigation into its revenue and accounts receivable for that period and earlier periods.

If you purchased the common stock of Quintus between July 20, 2000 and November 14, 2000, you may, no later than January 14, 2001, move the court to serve as lead plaintiff of the class, if you choose. In order to serve as lead plaintiff, however, you must meet certain legal requirements. A lead plaintiff is a representative party that acts on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. In order to be appointed lead plaintiff, the Court must determine that the class member's claim is typical of the claims of other class members, and that the class member will adequately represent the class. Under certain circumstances, one or more class members may together serve as "lead plaintiff." Your ability to share in any recovery is not, however, affected by the decision whether or not to serve as a lead plaintiff. You may retain Spector, Roseman & Kodroff, P.C., or other counsel of your choice, to serve as your counsel in this action.
