Thompson Data Systems Inc., the Intentia business partner in Canada, signed a 300-user Movex license with Peacock Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario. Peacock is a subsidiary of The Weir Group based in Glasgow, Scotland, and has five operating divisions across Canada.
Peacock divisions are involved in assembly, distribution, and maintenance and repair, making Movex and its integrated MRO capability the logical choice for Peacock's enterprise solution.
The Movex application will be used to integrate all of the Peacock divisions such as Industrial Products, Mechanical Services, Weir Pumps, Instrumentation, and Marine Engineering. The integration will enable the Company to move into e-collaboration with its customers and suppliers, which Peacock sees as mandatory for future growth in the Canadian marketplace.
Peacock was founded in Canada over 100 years ago, and maintains its head office in Mississauga and its Finance and Administration center in Montreal, where the new I-Series server and Movex will be installed.
