Pervasys Announces Slate of Content Development as Part of Its Convergence Initiative

LOS ANGELES, July 2,2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pervasys, Inc. (Pink Sheets:PVYS) today announced as part of its Convergence Studio initiative, that it has begun development on a number of next-generation digital projects. These include a convergence project, "SeeingIsBelieving.tv," "Hidden Treasures in Real Estate," "Sea Breeze," and "CyberHeart." These projects will all demonstrate aspects of Pervasys' studio convergence concepts -- that through the development of technology, the concepts of film, video, music, video games, books, software development, and streaming video are all converging into a more flexible and more comprehensive version of entertainment and communication. Pervasys will discuss possible production, based on these concepts, with the studio partners with whom it creates Studio Convergence relationships.

The convergence project is being developed by Pervasys CTO Dan F. O'Neill. It will feature traditional elements of film & video, high-end graphic animation, PC-gaming technology, software development and streaming video. In combination, the convergence project will be part movie and part interactive video game. Mr. O'Neill, in conjunction with Michael Meyer, is developing the concept. O'Neill is developing the game engine.

"SeeingIsBelieving.tv," being developed in conjunction with Martin Halfon, is planned as an Interactive Internet game show featuring film and video clips submitted by viewers from around the world, presented in a live, interactive format as a game show.

The show will feature technologies of Pervasys, including the FeLIX video server to transmit live audio and video of the game, its host, and the various video clips. Viewers will have the opportunity to participate in the game via live interactive chat.

DivineLegacy.com, which will be jointly owned by Mr. Criscione and Pervasys, is a digital book-publishing venture by Michael Criscione and Michael Meyer. The first book offering is "Hidden Treasures in Real Estate," written by Criscione with Meyer. The completed first draft discusses many of Mr. Criscione's successes in real estate development, which focused primarily on desert properties outside of Los Angeles. Plans are to coordinate a paper and digital release. The initial digital release will be on a text-only basis, with productions to follow up, including audio-on demand, audio/video on demand, and interactive formats, featuring case studies.

In the past, Criscione and Meyer had jointly line-produced "Bloodsport II" for F.E.M. Pictures as well as producing several other low-budget feature films, many of which Meyer wrote and directed. Criscione has also produced "Dizzyland," starring Ralph Macchio, and "L.A. Goddess," starring David Heavener, James Hong, Jeff Conaway and Kathy Shower. "Sea Breeze" is a screenplay being developed by Douglas Linn and Michael Meyer, based on a story by Douglas Linn. Linn has designed an interesting high-stakes cloak-and-dagger story, loosely based on some of his personal experiences. The screenplay will be owned jointly by Pervasys and Linn.

"CyberHeart" is a tentative name for a screenplay being developed by Mr. Meyer for Mark I Productions, based on a cyberactive version of the classic Cinderella story.

The project contemplates heavy use of Pervasys' proprietary videoconferencing tools, live broadcast, and 3-D animation.

The Pervasys technical, management, marketing and administrative offices are located in California and Vancouver, B.C., with additional sales facility in Seoul, Korea.
