Branigan Steps Down From American Realty Investors Board


DALLAS, Aug. 1, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- American Realty Investors, Inc. (NYSE:ARL) announced Wednesday that Mark W. Branigan, an ARI officer, has resigned from the company's board of directors. Branigan, who continues in his duties as executive vice president - real estate development, had served on the ARI board since September 2000.

Of the four remaining American Realty board members, three are independent directors.
