Greatland Launches State Wage-Reporting Software for Tax Professionals

WinFiler Plus Offers a Compliant Means to File Federal and State-Specific Wage and Information Reporting Forms

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Aug. 17, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Greatland Corporation today announced new enhancements within the 2001 release of the WinFiler Plus software program to include wage-reporting for 43 states. This accounting software gives tax professionals and accountants a compliant means to file state-specific, and federal wage-reporting forms. The new version of WinFiler Plus software also supports filing for W-2, 1099, 940, 941, 943 and 945 forms.

The WinFiler Plus program enables accountants and tax preparers to produce 1099, W-2, state-approved quarterly unemployment and other state wage-reporting forms. Federal and state magnetic media reporting and laser printing options are available.

"It's very user-friendly, and I love how information rolls over every year," said Gaye Muller, Office Administrator for Clifton and Gunderson CPA firm. "I like how you can use blank forms and not have to buy the pre-printed forms."

WinFiler Plus is designed to meet the accounting needs of tax professionals so they can concentrate on customer service and not technology. The program supports an unlimited number of EINs, data transfer from year-to-year and users can customize reports, including: payer/payee, proforma, transaction and SUI journals.

"We have never had a problem with the software that we have purchased from Greatland," added Muller. "Training someone to use the product is easy."

"I love it. I've had no problems working with my quarterly wage forms," said Mary Francis Maloof, Independent Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer. "It even allows me to file unemployment forms ... it flows very nicely."

Greatland, with more than 25 years of experience developing products for the tax and accounting industries, provides tax professionals with a complete, compliant wage-reporting solution within the WinFiler Plus Program.

"Greatland has the best Windows W-2 and 1099 software that you can find anywhere," said Larry J. Mouton, CPA. "I will not research any other company's software, because I know that the best is on my computer."

"The WinFiler Plus software program is designed to give tax professionals a complete solution for producing all their federal and state wage reporting forms," said Jen Lorenski, Greatland Marketing and Product Manager. "WinFiler software is compliant and up-to-date so tax preparers can concentrate on better servicing their customers and not have to worry about compliance.
