LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- David Maisel has joined Endeavor to head Corporate Strategy and Business Development. This area encompasses potential mergers and acquisitions, new ventures, investments and advisory services.
Maisel has spent more than 10 years specializing in the business of entertainment and media. For the last two years, he served as managing director of Chello Broadband where he helped grow the European firm into the largest provider of consumer broadband services outside the United States, with well over 400,000 high speed internet subscribers.

Prior to Chello Broadband, Maisel served as president of Livent, Inc., which was the largest producer of Broadway shows in North America. Maisel successfully led the restructuring of Livent and its 1999 sale to SFX. Maisel also led the development and Broadway launch of "Fosse," which won the 1999 Tony Award for Best Musical.
Before Livent, Maisel joined The Walt Disney Company as director of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning, which followed a stint as a corporate agent at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), working on projects such as Matsushita's sale of MCA/Universal to Seagram in 1995.
Prior to joining CAA, Maisel spent more than five years with The Boston Consulting Group, working with major entertainment and industry clients.
Maisel received his master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and his bachelor's degree in Economics from Duke University.
