GOTEBORG, Sweden, Jan. 16, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- SKF's seals plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA, will be closed at the end of March this year. The manufacturing equipment will be transferred to SKF's Italian seals operations at RFT.
The Bethlehem plant has been manufacturing bearing seals. Some 40 employees are affected by the transfer.
The closing of the US plant is a step in the process to rationalize the production of bearing seals and improve productivity and profitability.
