STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 17, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- At the end of 2001, Sigma acquired the IT consulting company Axell Consulting AB, with seven employees. The company offers leading-edge expertise for the integration and installation of the SAP business system.
"Through this acquisition, Sigma acquires leading-edge expertise and market knowledge that complements our earlier acquisition of Ericsson Mobile Business Solutions in Norrkoping and the SAP expertise in our existing operations in Denmark," says Sune Nilsson, President of Sigma.
Following the acquisition, Sigma can also provide the services of some 40 consultants within SAP installation. In cooperation with Axell Consulting, Sigma will also be able to offer advanced further development of customers' existing SAP installations, which currently fulfills a clearly identified need. The intention is for Sigma to continue to grow in this area.

The acquisition creates an immediate positive effect on Sigma's earnings and sales. An earnings-based compensation may accrue for payment over the next three years.
