UPPSALA, Sweden, Feb. 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pricer has received an order from the leading German retail chain Metro, Pricer's largest customer. Starting in 1997, Metro has installed Pricer's ESL (Electronic Shelf Label) system in 53 Cash & Carry stores in Germany, and has implemented a totally integrated ESL system.
The new order is meant for a new Metro store concept in Germany. Deliveries will start in May 2002 and will continue until the first quarter of 2003. The order, at a value of at least 1.2 MUSD, follows the Letter of Intent that Pricer and Metro signed in November 2001.
"The Pricer system has been in operation in our stores for several years, which means that we have had time to evaluate the features and functions of the system. We have in many important ways seen the advantages of a reliable ESL system.
