STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Directors of Metsa Tissue Corporation will propose to the company's Annual General Meeting, to be held on March 19, 2002, that a dividend of EUR 0.10 per share be distributed in respect of the financial year that ended on December 31, 2001.
The record date for the Annual General Meeting is March 8, 2002. Shareholders wishing to attend the meeting must be registered in the company's list of shareholders by this date at the latest.
The record date for payment of dividend is March 22, 2002. Shareholders registered in the company's list of shareholders at this date are entitled to receive dividend for the 2001 financial period.
The Finnish Central Securities Depository Ltd has granted Metsa Tissue Corp. the right to deviate from the normal dividend payment date. The dividend payment date will be April 5, 2002.
