VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 14, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bright Star Ventures (CDNX:BSV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Yeomans, B.Sc., P.Geol. as Vice President, Exploration. Since acquiring his degree in 1982 from Queens University, Mr. Yeomans has engaged in numerous projects throughout Canada and South America, exploring for base metals, gold, and platinum group metals.
Mr. Yeomans developed his extensive experience while employed as Country Manager for South African-company Migrate Mining Ltd.; as Senior Geologist with the BHP World Discovery Group; and as Country Manager for Canarc Resources Ltd. in Guyana.
Mr. Yeomans brings to Bright Star a strong focus on advanced exploration techniques, database management, logistics, budgeting, geochemical and geophysical interpretation and drilling supervision in a wide variety of geological environments.
"In my opinion, 2002 will be a watershed year for Bright Star Ventures and the Tulameen Project," said Yeomans. "We've assembled a large land package with significant indications of mineralization, and we're budgeting for a million-dollar exploration program."
"Following the prioritization of the Tulameen Project's exploration targets," said Mr. Yeomans, "I will oversee the design and implementation of a quality control and quality assurance program for the upcoming exploration and drilling programs.
