Digital Descriptor Systems Continues to See Results of Its Focused Sales Efforts


FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa., March 18, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Digital Descriptor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:DDSI) a leading designer and marketer of digitized imaging and identification systems for the criminal justice and security markets, today announced an array of upgrades, additional licenses and the addition of a new customer in Illinois.

DDSI is pleased to announce to its shareholders that the company is continuing to experience a positive response from its re-focused sales team. DDSI Vice President of Sales Randy Hall commented, "The success of our new 32-bit imaging solution is evident by an increase in add-on licenses and the sales of new modules, as existing customers expand their networks."

DDSI has upgraded about 30% of its customer base to the new solution and added several new customers as indicated below:

A multi-user solution was successfully installed in Illinois. The agency plans to add the ID badging module in the future.

DDSI added five additional workstations to a Mississippi agency who just last month added the ID badging module for citywide use.

One of New Jersey's largest counties tied their Prosecutor's office into DDSI's imaging solution so that it could access the county's mug shots.

Another county in New Jersey upgraded to DDSI's latest 32-bit Windows application. The upgrade consisted of software and services.
