Pointsec Mobile Technologies Joins Microsoft Mobility Partner Advisory Council

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pointsec Mobile Technologies, a leading developer of enterprise security software for PDAs, laptops and desktop computers, announced today its participation in the Microsoft Mobility Partner Advisory Council (MPAC). Pointsec is being recognized for its visionary enterprise security PDA security design.

MPAC, a dedicated subset of the 5,000 plus member Microsoft Mobility Solutions Provider Program, was formed to provide guidance to their most innovative development partners, with a primary focus on meeting the unique mobility requirements of the enterprise customer. Like Microsoft, Pointsec envisions a thriving wireless ecosystem in which handheld smart devices will be paramount to the success of the enterprise.

"Executives and IT managers alike know that securing mobile devices is critical when implementing end-to-end enterprise security. Pointsec(r) for Pocket PC's image-based mandatory access control, user lockout, and encryption enables enterprises to take full advantage of these business tools without compromising security. "We believe that our participation in MPAC will benefit our customers by ensuring that Pointsec continues to develop industry leading PDA security solutions. MPAC provides the strategic framework that allows Pointsec and Microsoft to jointly create solutions that enable our mobile enterprise customers to leverage the benefits of a completely secured PDA," said Thomas Bill, CEO, Pointsec Mobile Technologies AB.
