LUND, Sweden, March 27, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- WeSpot, the Lund-based company that develops innovative applications based on the Smart Camera Platform gets four patents approved.
The first official patent covers the Intelligent Intrusion Sensor and protects the actual method of the image analysis process being performed in the camera's built in processor - which eliminates the need for external computer hardware. The other three patents protect WeSpot's fundamental image analysis technology, which is used for detection and tracking of objects and covers WeSpot's primary applications: the Intelligent Intrusion Sensor, the Smart Door Opener and the NurseSensor. The patents also cover future applications in development phase at WeSpot.
