STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 28, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stock Exchange-listed company Sign On and Posten, the Swedish Post Office, have agreed to start joint sales and marketing activities for Internet services designed to process documents with electronic signatures. The agreement replaces the framework agreement signed in January 2002.
The framework agreement which Posten and Sign On signed in January 2002 concerned cooperation in the area of electronic signatures on the one hand and a stake in Sign On for Posten on the other. The companies have now agreed that part-ownership is not the ideal form of cooperation, which is why Posten will not retain its stake in Sign On.
The previous framework agreement is being terminated and replaced by an agreement which relates in the first instance to national and international service development of Sign On's product FormPipe. The emphasis is on creating joint solutions which, for example, allow authorities to process electronically signed forms in a simple and secure manner.
Sign On AB (publ) is listed on the New Market of the OM Stockholm Stock Exchange. Sign On provides forms, templates and agreements via the Internet and enables customers to send them using electronic signatures.
