STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Torbjorn Browall (40) has been appointed President for Gunnebo Physical Security and member of Gunnebo AB's Group management. He will take up his new positions on August 15, 2002.
Gunnebo Physical Security develops, manufactures and sells fire- and burglar-resistant safes, and security products for banks and the retail trade, to the industry and public sector. The division, with headquarter in Goteborg, has an annual turnover of MSEK 2,600 and 2,300 employees in 24 countries.
Torbjorn Browall, a graduate economist, joins Gunnebo after a short period as head of Europe Division within Volvo Trucks. Prior to that he was President within the SAPA group with responsibility for the SAPA Heat Transfer Business Area.
Torbjorn Browall has also held several senior positions with SKF, among others as business area manager for SKF's operations in Central and Eastern Europe.

"Anders Pettersson has during his short time as head of Gunnebo Physical Security successfully carried through the divisions ongoing restructuring programme, with the object of reducing manufacturing capacity for high graded safes in Europe and product rationalization, concludes Bjarne Holmqvist. "He has also started a number of projects, all of which he successfully has completed."

Torbjorn Browall will join Gunnebo Physical Security on May 13, and take over from Anders Pettersson as President for Gunnebo Physical Security Division on August 15.
