STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 13, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Atlas Copco: Lars Engstrom has been appointed President of Atlas Copco Rock Drilling Equipment, a division within the Construction and Mining Technique business area (CMT), effective July 1, 2002.
Engstrom was employed by Atlas Copco in 1994, as Market Manager of the Atlas Copco Secoroc division in the Construction and Mining Technique business area, CMT. He currently holds the position as General Manager of Atlas Copco Construction and Mining Australia.
Before joining Atlas Copco, he held different positions within Seco Tools AB. Engstrom holds a Master of Science from The Institute of Technology, Linkoping, Sweden, in 1988.
Engstrom succeeds Bjorn Rosengren, who was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of the Business Area Construction and Mining Technique.
Atlas Copco Rock Drilling Equipment is a division within the business area Construction and Mining Technique of the Atlas Copco Group. The division is develops, manufactures and markets rock drills, drill rigs, and equipment for rock reinforcement, and has established a worldwide leading position.
