FOERSLOEV, Sweden, Aug. 27, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Peab has sold the two remaining companies in the operations and maintenance company Maintech.
Industriteknik Nord AB in Boliden has been acquired by the local company M&H Invest and Pitea-based Nordisk Teknologi i Norr AB has also been acquired by a local company, Bamek. The two companies that have now been divested have a combined turnover of approximately SEK 120 million. The new owners are taking over all the personnel.
The divestment of the companies involves a total cost of SEK 19 million, which will be charged to income for the second quarter of 2002.
The other Maintech companies were sold during the first quarter of 2002 to French-owned Dalkia. The costs for the divestment and current deficit, amounting to SEK 15 million in total, were charged to income for the first quarter of 2002.
Total costs for Maintech amount to SEK 34 million, which will be reported in the Operations under Termination business sector in the interim report for the first six months of 2002. During 2001 Maintech had a negative effect on the group amounting to SEK 11 million.
