Dresser, Inc. Announces a Voluntary Debt Prepayment

Third Quarter 2002 Payment Applied to Senior Term Loan


DALLAS, Sept. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dresser, Inc. today announced that it has made an optional debt prepayment in the amount of $23 million, which will be applied to its senior term loan B. Since June, Dresser has reduced its outstanding senior term loans by a total of $53 million through voluntary prepayments.

Dresser also announced that it has repaid the $6.9 million in debt that was assumed in the April acquisition of the assets of Modern Supply Company, Inc. The payment was made on Friday, August 30, and retires all debt assumed in the acquisition.
