SOLNA, Sweden, Oct. 15, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC has been commissioned by Akademiska Hus Uppsala AB to rebuild the Kemikum property block in Uppsala. The order is worth SEK 180 million.
NCC will be the coordinating general contractor responsible for rebuilding the properties at the Kemikum block. The assignment is worth totally SEK 180 million; about SEK millions from installation works.
In Main Section 1 of Kemikum, the existing laboratory premises, comprising approximately 31,000 square meters of floor space, will be converted for use as premises for arts and social science studies. In addition, about 900 square meters of new premises, including associated landscaping work, will be built within the block. The assignment also includes facade renovation.
NCC has option on the rebuilding of Main Section 2 of the Kemikum block, which has an estimated contract value of approximately SEK 60 million. According to current plans, the contract regarding this second phase will be signed in March 2003.
