STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 28, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- SCA (Other OTC:SCVBF) has reached an agreement with Thomesto, a company owned by Metsaliitto, whereby Thomesto's ownership in the German wood procurement company SCA Holz increases from 33.3% to 50%. The company, in which SCA will retain a 50% ownership, supplies the parties' German production plants, among other operations. The ownership change, which is conditional upon the approval of the competition authorities, has a negligible effect for SCA.
